The Role
Grounds Maintenance Operative – Streetwise Rushcliffe Borough Council. Undertaking gardening, grass cutting, hedging and various grounds maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Dealing directly with our green spaces, undertaking gardening, grass cutting, hedging and various grounds maintenance tasks
- Maintain borough floral displays and grounds using a variety of tools to achieve the best results
- Adhere to, and be responsible for, the H&S standards set by Rushcliffe Borough Council
- Assist the team and team leader in all tasks appointed
You
- Handheld machinery use (e.g. strimmers, hedge cutters, leaf blowers)
- Extensive knowledge of grounds maintenance work
- Sports pitch maintenance experience
- Hedge cutting experience
- Must be able to use step ladders
- Able to lift reasonably heavy boxes and/or equipment after appropriate manual handling training; adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010
- Have a clear enhanced DBS check
