Salary: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week, Sunday to Wednesday inclusive, 7.00am start

About Us: Rushcliffe Borough Council manages Rushcliffe Country Park, a key community facility serving the local area. We are committed to maintaining high-quality public spaces and delivering excellent service to our visitors across our parks, leisure facilities and services.
The Role: You will work as part of the park management team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across Rushcliffe Country Park. Working 20 hours per week over four days including weekends, you will be the first person to open the park each day and will play a vital role in ensuring visitors enjoy a safe, clean and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the visitor centre, meeting rooms and public toilets to a high standard
- Inspect the children's play area and equipment daily, recording any defects, vandalism or wear and tear
- Maintain and level play area surfacing materials through loosening, raking and levelling
- Litter pick throughout the park and empty litter and dog waste bins regularly
- Check buildings, structures, roads, footpaths, car parks and fencing for repairs needed, carrying out minor repairs or reporting major ones
- Receive and store deliveries appropriately and record all daily inspection results
- Provide information and assistance to visitors, maintaining positive customer care standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and park byelaws at all times
You:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Possess basic DIY skills and good oral and written communication abilities
- Have strong customer care skills and self-motivation to manage your own workload
- Can improvise and resolve problems, handling conflicts effectively
- Are physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Have the ability and willingness to work at different park locations as required
