We want to help you enter the industry you’re passionate about – because we’re passionate about it too. We’ve been inspiring love for creative and pioneering hairstyling since 1994, and we’re ready to share our knowledge with you.
You’ll be qualified with a Level 2 Hair Professional Diploma within 15 months of our one-day-a-week training scheme, and you’ll get to earn while you learn, because you’ll work 30 to 40 hours a week in one of our salons at the same time.
Learning from our award-winning Artistic Team and highly skilled Stylists in-salon, you’ll receive all you need to become an accomplished professional.
ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be supporting our Stylists in providing their clients with the best possible salon experience. A friendly and open demeanour is a must, but you should also stay on top of the latest trends, news and products in the industry so you can start to give informed advice.
You’ll assist Stylists with the styling and colouring of clients’ hair, and learn the proper techniques for shampooing, conditioning and giving head massages. While you’re in training, you’ll be expected to work hard and try your best.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will become part of the award-winning Rush family on an apprenticeship wage of £4.81 per hour. Once you have completed your 15-month course and are qualified, there may be an opportunity to become a permanent Stylist at Rush.
Alongside your qualification, you’ll have benefitted from training schemes devised and spearheaded by the best in the business, our brilliant artistic team. But it doesn’t stop there! You’ll also enjoy discounts on all products and services and a busy social calendar, including an invite to our annual Rush Oscars awards.
Personal DevelopmentYou’ll come out the other side of your apprenticeship with a wonderful job for a national brand, as well as a new qualification, and you’ll also have access to the Rush Academy, where you can book onto training courses which will develop and further your skillset.
You’ll have the support of our talented and friendly team members, including those in our training and Artistic Teams and in-house Stylists. We’ll advise and encourage you while you learn and throughout your time as part of the Rush Family.
