Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Hairstylist role based in York. The Hairstylist will provide a full range of hair services, including consultations, cutting, colouring, styling, blow‑drying, and finishing, tailored to each client’s needs and preferences. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of client care, offering product and aftercare advice, and building long‑lasting client relationships. The role also involves keeping workstations clean and hygienic, adhering to health and safety standards, and supporting salon promotions and retail sales. Hairstylists will be encouraged to participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with trends, techniques, and RUSH service standards.

Qualifications Strong hair service skills, including Hair Styling, Hair Care, and knowledge of current trends and techniques. Formal training or certification in Cosmetology or an equivalent hairdressing qualification (e.g., NVQ or similar), with a commitment to ongoing professional development. Excellent Customer Service skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand client needs, and deliver a positive salon experience. Clear and professional Communication skills, both in client consultations and within the salon team. Additional strengths such as reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
