The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Assumes responsibility for tasks involving physical labor at building and heavy construction projects, and demolition sites while conforming to safety regulations. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris. May assist other craft workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all company safety requirements and reports any potential unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
- Bolts, nails, aligns and blocks up under forms.
- Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
- Levels earth to fine grade specifications.
- Smooths and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete.
- Positions, joins, and seals pipe sections.
- Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
- Mops, brushes, or spreads paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection.
- Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
- Applies caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices.
- Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring.
- Demolishes buildings, saws lumber, dismantles forms, removes projections from concrete, mounts pipe hangers, and cuts and attaches insulating material.
- Spreads concrete, stone, topsoil, etc., using wheelbarrow, shovel or rake.
- Maintenance jobsite performing cleaning duties throughout day.
- Carries materials, hammers, nails, etc. between work areas.
- Assists Foreman, Concrete Workers, and Iron Workers as needed.

Tool Requirement:
Individuals holding this position are required to maintain the following personal tools of the trade with them at all times: Reliable transportation, 16 oz. hammer, 25’ tape measure, nail apron or tool belt, utility knife with extra blades.
