As a Night Concierge at Rusacks St Andrews, you will be the reassuring and professional presence during the overnight hours β maintaining the highest standards of guest service, security, and attention to detail. You will ensure every guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay, no matter what time of day or night.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing a warm, courteous welcome to all late arrivals and assisting with check-ins and departures as required.
- Handling guest requests efficiently and professionally throughout the night, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues.
- Monitoring the safety and security of the hotel, carrying out regular patrols and checks in line with procedures.
- Maintaining awareness of all hotel areas and responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies.
- Supporting Front Office operations, including reservations, guest correspondence, and administrative duties.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth handover and continuity between day and night teams.
- Managing wake-up calls, guest deliveries, and transportation arrangements for early departures.
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the lobby and public areas overnight.
- Assisting with overnight auditing or reporting tasks if required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a concierge, night porter, or front-of-house role (preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel).
- A strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence in handling guest requests and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- A calm, reassuring manner and ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
- Good IT and administrative skills, with experience in hotel systems an advantage.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rota.
