We are now seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the next chapter of the hotel’s success. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an experienced luxury hotel operator who can inspire teams, elevate guest experience, and continue positioning Rusacks as one of the leading hotels in Scotland and internationally.

The Role

As General Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the hotel. Reporting to senior leadership within Schulte Hospitality, you will lead all departments to deliver outstanding financial performance, exceptional guest satisfaction, and a highly engaged team culture. You will act as the face of the hotel both internally and externally, building strong relationships with guests, ownership representatives, local stakeholders, tourism partners, golf travel operators, and brand partners. This role requires a visible, inspirational, and commercially astute leader with a genuine passion for luxury hospitality.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading the overall hotel operation to deliver exceptional guest experiences and financial performance
  • Driving revenue growth, GOP performance, and commercial strategy across all business segments
  • Developing and inspiring high-performing leadership teams across all departments
  • Ensuring consistently high operational standards across all guest touchpoints
  • Creating a culture aligned to our REACH values: Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Cooperation, Honesty
  • Working collaboratively with Revenue, Sales and Marketing teams to maximise market share and positioning
  • Overseeing budgets, forecasting, labour management and cost control
  • Leading guest satisfaction initiatives and maintaining strong online reputation scores
  • Supporting recruitment, succession planning, talent development and employee engagement initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with local businesses, tourism organisations and golf partners
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, health & safety requirements, licensing and legal obligations

About You

We are looking for a confident and strategic hospitality leader who thrives in luxury and lifestyle environments. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager within a luxury hotel or resort
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Experience leading large operational teams within high-volume luxury environments
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within golf, resort or destination hospitality would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and luxury guest expectations
  • A passion for developing people and creating positive team cultures
  • The ability to balance operational excellence with commercial performance
  • Experience working with branded and/or independent luxury hotel environments
