About us: We are currently recruiting for a passionate Nursery Cook to join our lovely nursery in Sale, Copper Beeches Day Nursery which is located on Barkers Lane. Come and join our team of inspiring and committed nursery practitioners who are all dedicated to providing the very best for our children and families. We are a small group of 6 family run nurseries across South Manchester, who nurture and develop our teams. Our ethos is small and nurturing and this nursery has small groups of children to ensure we are able to give children our time and attention. Our aim is to nurture and develop all our staff who work for us.
Purpose of role:
- To prepare, cook and present age appropriate food to high standards in a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment.
- Cook for a maximum of 46 children per day and cater for all dietary requirements.
- Work in partnership with the nursery team and parents at all times to support the nurseries care and education provision.
- Keep accurate records of supplies and order replacements as needed within the nursery budget requirements.
- Complete weekly food orders.
- Design your own menus in line with our healthy eating approach.
This role requires working in collaboration with others and taking responsibility for working in line with regulatory requirements.
