About the role

As a Laundry Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the laundry of residents and general care home is completed in a professional and timely manner. This includes using washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently as well as neatly folding, hanging, or preparing clean laundry for redistribution. Your daily tasks include keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organised as well as following health and safety standards to avoid contamination and accidents.

We are looking for a skilled Laundry Assistant who can confidently maintain high standards of work whilst handling resident belongings with care and respect. You should be able to organise and prioritise your tasks effectively. It's important for our Laundry Assistants to be proactive, flexible, and a great team player. We also value a willingness to learn and grow, as you will need to participate in training activities to enhance your skills and knowledge for a safe and efficient performance in your role.
