Hours per week – 28, including some weekends and evenings

Could you be the next enthusiastic team-player to join us in our wonderful home? Your main role will be to plan and deliver meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents. You will also guide, develop, and coach our staff in engagement and activity with residents, so that every day is filled with magic moments. We believe it is everyone’s role to help our residents live well and enjoy life. You will ensure residents’ dignity and self-esteem are enhanced through meaningful engagement, positive relationships, and free expression of individuality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering high-quality meaningful activity for all residents
  • Ensuring residents living with dementia have equal opportunities for engagement and activity
  • Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
  • Promoting and developing mealtimes as a highlight of the day
  • Creating and maintaining excellent community links

To support you in delivering high-quality activities, you will receive individual support, guidance, and investment in your development. Applicants should have a positive, forward-thinking approach, with the ability to enthuse and guide others, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Care home experience is an advantage, as is previous experience in providing activities or leading teams. You should be assertive yet flexible. Successful candidates come from diverse backgrounds.
