Elevator Pitch: The Job

As our Contracts Manager, you’ll turn designs into great spaces.

You’ll lead our in-house works team on refreshes and spruces across the portfolio, price jobs before we commit, plan who’s working where, make sure what’s designed is what gets built, and bring in the right subcontractors when we need specialist trades.

This role will suit a hands-on contracts manager from a smaller fit-out or refurbishment firm - someone used to running several jobs at once, pricing their own work and getting stuck in.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading our works team on refreshes and spruces across London, Bristol and Brighton.
  • Pricing jobs and tracking spend against budget.
  • Working with our Design team to make sure designs can be built, then delivering them faithfully.
  • Sourcing, vetting and recommending subcontractors for specialist packages.
  • Running RAMS, permits and CDM paperwork so every site stays safe.
  • Snagging and handing over clean, finished spaces.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • An experienced contracts or works manager from commercial fit-out or refurbishment, ideally at a smaller firm where you’ve worn a few hats - as comfortable pricing and buying in subcontractors as you are running a site.
  • Confident pricing work from drawings and a site visit, with a good feel for what things should cost.
  • Used to running several live jobs at once and keeping a small team productive.
  • Well connected with reliable trades, and able to vet new subcontractors properly.
  • Strong on site safety, with SMSTS and CSCS cards.
  • Respected on site - you set high standards and hold people to them.
  • Organised, clear and proactive, so people always know where things stand.
