Responsibilities

  • New site design – Work alongside D&B contractors and their design teams on new location fit-outs. You'll be RWE's design lead on the client side – reviewing proposals, challenging ideas and protecting our brand identity.
  • FF&E specification – Select and specify furniture, fixtures and equipment across new sites, refreshes and office modifications. Build supplier relationships and balance aesthetics with durability, budget and lead times.
  • Site spruces and refreshes – Plan and deliver cosmetic upgrades across the portfolio – paint, signage, soft furnishings, lighting, feature walls. Assess what needs attention, create design schemes, and work with the projects team to get it done.
  • Space planning management – Brief and manage our outsourced space planning agency. Review layouts for efficiency, member experience and commercial return.

This role is based from our Covent Garden office, 4 days a week. Open to part‑time candidates and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in workplace and flexible office design – You've designed workplaces, flexible offices or co-working spaces. You understand how these environments actually work day-to-day, not just how they look on completion day.
  • Practical as well as creative – You can spec materials, source furniture, coordinate with contractors and solve problems on site. You're comfortable getting into the detail of what actually gets built and installed.
  • Commercially aware – You understand that design decisions have a cost and a commercial impact. You think about desk yield, durability and member experience alongside aesthetics.
  • Confident with external partners – You'll be working with D&B firms, space planners and suppliers regularly. You don't need to have all the answers, but you need to know when something isn't right – and be confident enough to challenge it.
  • Proficient in design software – You're comfortable working in AutoCAD and Revit. Experience with design presentation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp) is desirable.
  • Self‑directed – This is a one‑person design function. You'll manage your own workload, prioritise across multiple projects, and take ownership from concept through to delivery.
