What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-availability system architectures on Linux-based platforms.
  • Employ your expertise in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
  • Work on source control and configuration management tools (Git, Subversion, Puppet, Ansible, etc.) to build efficient CI/CD pipelines.
  • Set up and manage network services (Apache, NGINX, BIND, HAProxy, sendmail/postfix, iptables) and optimize them for performance and security.
  • Leverage centralized logging solutions (ELK, etc.) for real-time monitoring, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including software engineers) to support web, C/C++, and other application build processes.
  • Handle networking tasks (IPv4, switching, routing, firewalls, HA architecture) in mission-critical environments.
  • Provide prompt support and maintain security best practices for sensitive systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive Linux Knowledge: Strong experience with Bash scripting, output parsing, and open-source technologies.
  • Automation & Scripting: Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages and DevOps tools (Vagrant, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • System Architecture Expertise: Background in creating repeatable, fault-tolerant architectures with an eye for performance tuning and metrics collection.
  • Networking & Security Proficiency: Confidence in IPv4, routing, firewalls, and high-availability setups.
  • Version Control Mastery: Skilled in Git and Subversion for source code and version control.
  • Configuration Management: Experience with Puppet or Ansible for provisioning and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Web & C/C++ Development Understanding: Able to support application build processes and collaborate with development teams.
  • Strong Communication: Comfortable working with vendors, management, and colleagues in both formal and informal settings.
  • Self-Driven & Adaptable: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively solves problems.
