Runware is building one API for all AI. Our platform makes it easy for developers to add advanced AI capabilities to their products in hours instead of months, without the burden of managing GPUs, scaling infrastructure, or keeping up with constant model updates.
About the role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape the developer experience of the Runware platform. This role focuses on designing intuitive interfaces that help developers understand, integrate, and scale AI capabilities inside their products. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and design to translate complex technical systems into clear and usable experiences across our web app, dashboards, and developer tools.
This role sits close to product engineering. We’re not looking for someone who only works in Figma, but designers who are comfortable bridging design and development. That might mean prototyping ideas in code, understanding frontend constraints, working closely with engineers, product and QA on implementation details, all while using tools that allow you to move quickly from concept to working prototype and rapidly iterate on new features.
The platform involves complex concepts such as models, inference tasks, API parameters, and performance metrics. Your role will be to bring all of this complexity together into experiences that feel fast, intuitive, and category-defining.
You’ll work closely with our Design Lead and collaborate with product and engineering teams to help shape and ship new features across the platform. We’re looking for someone comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where product design, experimentation, and iteration happen quickly. If you enjoy turning technical platforms into powerful developer experiences and collaborating closely with engineers to ship real product improvements, this role will be a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user experiences for the Runware website, web app and developer platform
- Translate complex AI and infrastructure concepts into powerful workflows and interfaces
- Design dashboards, onboarding flows, model exploration tools, and developer-facing product surfaces
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity product designs
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to bring new features to life
- Improve usability across existing interfaces based on developer feedback and product insights
- Help evolve our design system and ensure visual and interaction consistency across the platform
- Work on early-stage product concepts and prototypes for new capabilities
- Contribute to improving developer onboarding and time-to-first-success
- Identify UX friction points and propose solutions that improve clarity and adoption
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UX or product design
- Experience designing complex software products, developer tools, or technical platforms
- Experience working in B2B SaaS or API-driven environments
- Strong skills in user flows, interaction design, and usability thinking
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
- Ability to translate complex technical systems into clear and intuitive interfaces
- Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers and product teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain design decisions clearly
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
- Comfortable using modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate design and prototyping workflows
- Experience building interactive prototypes using tools such as V0, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, or similar rapid prototyping environments
- Ability to move quickly from concept to working prototype to help validate product ideas before engineering implementation
Nice to have
- Experience designing developer platforms, APIs, or infrastructure products
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools or generative AI platforms
- Experience working on technical dashboards or developer tooling
- Interest in emerging AI technologies and developer ecosystems
- Experience contributing to design systems or scalable product design frameworks
Benefits
- We’re a remote-first collective, meeting in person twice a year to plan, brainstorm, celebrate wins, and enjoy some face-to-face time.
- Generous paid time off – vacation, sick days, public holidays
- Meaningful stock options – share in the upside you create
- Remote-first setup – work from home anywhere we can employ you
- Flexible hours – own your schedule outside core collaboration blocks
