We're working with a high-growth global SaaS business seeking a technically strong Solutions Engineer to partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams throughout the pre-sales lifecycle. This position sits at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy, helping prospective customers understand how the platform integrates into their existing ecosystem while designing scalable technical solutions that drive successful adoption. You will become the technical authority within the sales process, leading architecture discussions, overcoming integration challenges and demonstrating how the platform can deliver value across complex customer environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with commercial teams to qualify technical opportunities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective customers
- Understand existing customer architecture and integration requirements
- Design scalable integration solutions and implementation approaches
- Conduct technical product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases
- Run API walkthroughs and architecture workshops
- Build proof-of-concepts and prototype integrations where required
- Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Respond to technical questions throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to influence future roadmap decisions
- Support handover into implementation and customer success teams following contract signature
What We're Looking For
- 3 years' experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting or Integration Engineering
- Strong experience engaging directly with customers in technical pre-sales environments
- Excellent understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, web services and system integrations
- Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse technical requirements
- Experience discussing application architecture, data flows and integration design
- JavaScript knowledge or coding experience is highly desirable
- Experience creating proofs-of-concept, prototypes or custom demonstrations
- Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
- Ability to engage credibly with engineers, architects, senior stakeholders and business leaders
