A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and hard-working individual to join the Operations Team at RunThrough. At RunThrough we strive to be excellent at what we do and have fun whilst doing so. We are looking for a candidate to manage and support the delivery of cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events. You shall complete the daily tasks of event management to include, but not restricted to event planning, venue management, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to the preparation and delivery of events. You may also be line manager of a small team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, businesses etc.
Create and update event management plans and risk assessments.
Complete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applications.
Conduct official course measurements for new event courses.
Lead the course team on event days, ensuring that courses are correctly set up and packed down. Being the lead cyclist for events where appropriate.
Line management of a small team of Operations staff.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Passionate about physical activity and running.
Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Full driving licence.
Previous line management experience.
Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
Willing to work weekends: early start, early finish.
Excellent organisation skills.
Knowledge of the U.K running industry.
