Runtech Ltd is looking for an experienced and dependable HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our Transport Department, based at our Port Talbot site. This role involves nationwide tramping work operating Coiler and Bulker vehicles, with responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional loading and delivery of materials across the UK. We are seeking a proactive driver who can work independently while maintaining high standards of reliability, safety, and compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out nationwide tramping work using Coiler and Bulker vehicles
  • Load, transport, and tip materials safely and efficiently
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with the transport team
  • Ensure all vehicle, safety, and compliance standards are consistently maintained
  • Deliver a professional and reliable service at all times
Key attributes:
  • Helping to maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety Procedures
  • Adhering to Working Time Regulations
  • Demonstrating a positive and motivated attitude
  • Experience in a haulage environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Essential Qualifications:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Valid HGV Class 1 C+E
  • A minimum of one year HGV Class 1 driving experience
  • Maximum of 6 points on licence for insurance purposes
  • Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
  • Experience of operating coiler trailers desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
Package:
  • Your own assigned truck - no swapping vehicles
  • Modern, well-maintained fleet
  • Fully Equipped cab including microwave and fridge with comfortable living space
  • £14.10/ Hour; Paid breaks
  • Monday to Friday
  • Time & a half on weekends
  • Nights out as & when required
  • £26 per night out allowance
  • Equivalent to £49-53k/Year
  • Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme
  • Uniform and PPE Provided

The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing and vehicle licence check.
