We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Applied Science to join our vibrant Engineering department on a permanent basis. You will be committed to active and innovative teaching and learning, passionate about science education, and able to teach across a range of courses offered within the department. You will work within a well-resourced Engineering Department that provides an exciting environment to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of engineering Science subjects and will work with the Curriculum Quality Leader and Head of School to lead on the introduction of courses that may replace this course. The Engineering Department at Runshaw College also delivers the following courses: A Level Design Engineering, BTEC L3 and T levels courses that have a large science-based curriculum. Engineering topics with a science focus include mechanics, energy, electrical principles. The opportunity to teach on one of these courses may be possible for a suitably qualified candidate. The ideal candidate for the role will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice, and the ability to motivate and inspire learners. Flexibility to teach across more than one science subject would be an advantage.
