Head of Studies – Vocational & Technical Programme


Salary: Up to Β£62,547 p.a.


Benefits: Up to Β£17,410 p.a. in employer pension contributions.


This role is part of a team of three Heads of Studies (one Pre-Advanced and two Advanced) responsible for the design and quality of the pastoral curriculum, and for the wider performance and outcomes of the vocational and technical provision. Key responsibilities include:



  • Overseeing achievement, value added, high grades, attendance, retention and learner voice.

  • Implementing quality strategies to ensure excellent outcomes.

  • Providing pastoral support and positive behaviour approaches.

  • Acting as quality nominees for awarding organisations.

  • Managing a team of highly qualified Progress Mentors to promote engagement, progress, attendance, retention and punctuality.

  • Working to remove barriers to learning, promote participation, raise aspirations and enable all students to realise their full potential.
