This an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council as we continue our positive workin the Assets and Regeneration team. As theFacilities Management Trainee, you will:
- Assisting with the management of maintenance reports and monitoring contractor performance
- Supporting building operations and ensuring high standards of service delivery for stakeholders
- Helping with budget control, invoice coding, and financial reporting tasks
- Coordinating internal office moves and ordering furniture when required
- Contributing to health and safety duties, including risk assessments and contractor monitoring
- Maintaining accurate records across databases and asset management systems
- Supporting tenancy administration, including renewals and data entry
- Assisting with complaint triage and resolution, preparing clear response notes
- Working with colleagues on Freedom of Information requests and Equality Impact Assessments
- Playing a role in upcoming sustainability projects, helping the council meet environmental targets

About You
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team who can provide support across facilities operations and assurance functions. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a range of skills including:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different tasks
- Awareness of basic property/facilities principles
- Understanding of public service values
- Experience of customer service or team-based environments (desirable)
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
