Are you a highly-skilled HVAC Engineer looking to take pride in your skills and work on unique and prestigious projects? We are seeking a proactive and technically sharp HVAC mobile installation engineer to join our team at RunnyMede HVAC. Day to day work will be varied, dealing with varied systems to suit bespoke projects, from residential VRV systems to specialist Wine Cellar cooling. You will be applying your expertise and care to prestigious, high quality installations and technically challenging projects across the southeast. As not every day is the same, a willingness to learn and ability to problem solve is just as important as experience.

About You

You are a self-motivated, meticulous, and flexible professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service, strong communication and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Proven experience working with a range of Air Conditioning manufacturers and systems (VRV, Multi-split, Ventilation). In addition you can demonstrate the following:

  • Specific industry qualification (e.g., F-gas, NVQ).
  • Proven knowledge and experience installation a range of Air Conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems.
  • A full UK Driving Licence (company van provided).

Role Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning: Installing a variety of HVAC systems (from single split to VRV/VRF Air Conditioning systems to specialist wine cellar refrigeration systems). Includes expertise in copper pipework and containment (tray and trunking), ductwork, electrical integration, pressure testing, charging and handover.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring company procedures are followed, understanding and following RAMS, completing jobsheets, commissioning sheets and other paperwork as required. Maintain adherence to F-gas regulations, including precise logging of refrigerant recovery and usage. Be responsible for the safe disposal of site waste in accordance with environmental policies.
  • Mobile Operations and logistics: Maintain a clean, well stocked vehicle. Review job requirements in advance to ensure that all materials are available. Take responsibility for own organisation and logistics ensuring that you have everything you require for each job. Navigate to multiple sites effectively and provide real time updates to the office via digital job management software.
  • Client Liaison: Represent the company and present a professional demeanour to clients, be able to explain technical jargon in plain English and adapt your approach to end users or site managers etc where necessary. Report any site variations that differ from the original information supplied, and identify potential future maintenance or system upgrades if required.
