A new media business is looking for an exceptional Founder’s Associate to work directly alongside an experienced entrepreneur, building original podcast and content formats from the ground up.
The founders have built three businesses and exited two, with a track record spanning consumer brands, international retail and content reaching billions of views.
This is an opportunity to join their next venture at the beginning and take substantial ownership from day one.
The opportunity
You will identify a promising niche, understand its audience and commercial potential, and turn that opportunity into a podcast business.
That means researching unfamiliar markets, speaking to potential customers and sponsors, testing assumptions and developing a clear business case.
You will then take responsibility for making it happen, from securing hosts and shaping the format to winning sponsorship and coordinating production.
Within your first six months, the ambition is to take a format from initial concept through to launch, with hosts secured and sponsors on board.
You do not need media experience or a production background. You do need commercial judgement, resourcefulness and the determination to build something from zero to one.
What you will do
- Research potential verticals and identify opportunities with a clear audience and revenue model.
- Speak directly to customers, hosts and commercial partners to test demand.
- Build business cases covering pricing, revenue, costs, margins and growth potential.
- Develop the format, content direction and launch strategy.
- Lead sponsor outreach, commercial conversations and sales.
- Coordinate production and manage a small team as the business develops.
- Apply AI across research, content, sales and operations to improve speed and output.
- Develop your own playbook, measure results and adapt quickly.
- What we are looking for
- Evidence of building something from scratch, whether a business, product, project or commercial initiative.
- Commercial curiosity and confidence working with numbers.
- The ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
- A habit of testing ideas with real customers and acting on what you learn.
- Urgency, initiative and the ability to move forward without handholding.
- Practical experience applying AI to solve problems and deliver results.
- Willingness to take on both strategic decisions and the detailed work needed to execute them.
- Ambition to learn quickly, grow with the business and take on increasing responsibility.
- Your background matters less than what you have done. We want to understand the opportunities you spotted, the action you took and the results you achieved.
- What is on offer
- Direct access to an experienced founder with a proven record of building and selling businesses.
- Ownership of a new venture, with the resources and support to bring it to life.
- Scope for rapid progression as the business grows.
- 25 days’ holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
- Regular team socials.
- Pension scheme to support your future plans.
