Cambridge Full-Time No working from home possible

Seeking an Ecommerce Commercial Assistant to join a fast growing consumer brand, based near Cambridge.

This is a great opportunity to work with a portfolio of exciting home audio and consumer electronics products sold across the UK and Europe. You'll join a commercially focused ecommerce team where you'll be given genuine responsibility, plenty of exposure across the wider business and the opportunity to develop your career within ecommerce.

Whether your experience has come from ecommerce, digital marketing, retail, analytics, a graduate role or even running your own website or online side hustle, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

The role

You'll support the commercial performance and growth of a portfolio of products across online marketplaces, using data to understand what's working, identify opportunities and help improve sales and profitability.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Monitoring sales, traffic, conversion, pricing, margins and overall commercial performance
  • Analysing product and marketplace data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities
  • Supporting pricing, promotions, deals and seasonal trading activity
  • Helping plan and deliver new product launches
  • Monitoring competitors, pricing changes and wider market trends
  • Supporting product content, SEO and online visibility
  • Understanding how digital advertising influences sales and commercial performance
  • Working closely with content, advertising, stock and product teams
  • Supporting stock and catalogue performance
  • Producing regular reports and turning the numbers into practical recommendations

What we’re looking for

We're much more interested in your commercial mindset and potential than finding someone who ticks every box.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in ecommerce and online retail
  • A commercial mindset and an interest in what drives sales and profitability
  • Confidence working with numbers and analysing data
  • Good Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • An understanding of basic commercial metrics such as revenue, cost and margin
  • Some understanding of SEO, keywords, content or online search visibility
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership

Experience with Amazon, eBay, Shopify or another online marketplace would be useful, but it isn't essential.

What you’ll get

You'll receive structured training and hands on support, including learning how to manage and grow products across Amazon and other ecommerce channels.

As your experience develops, you'll have the opportunity to take greater ownership of commercial performance and gain exposure across pricing, advertising, content, stock, product launches and wider ecommerce strategy.
