Why this role matters

Community is at the heart of running — it keeps people motivated, accountable, and coming back for more. At Runna, we\’ve already built a coaching app loved by over 1 million runners worldwide. Now, we\’re ready to take our in-app community to the next level — and we\’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the charge.

You\’ll own the end-to-end community experience, working alongside our Principal PM and leading a cross-functional squad. Your job? Build a place where runners connect, inspire, and support each other — and in doing so, help Runna become the best running app in the world.

What You\’ll Do

  1. Own the vision for the in-app community — and turn it into reality. Shape the roadmap, drive execution, and balance experimentation with long-term bets.
  2. Build the loop. Grow participation, create stickiness, and strengthen the emotional connection runners have with Runna.
  3. Ship fast, learn faster. Work closely with engineers, designers, and content to deliver high-quality features that make a real difference.
  4. Make data your edge. Use engagement data, user insights, and experiments to identify the biggest opportunities and ruthlessly prioritise.
  5. Sweat the details. Obsess over user experience — from onboarding to everyday interactions — making sure every touchpoint feels intuitive and rewarding.
  6. Be the advocate. Champion the community internally and externally. Align stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and Customer Success around your vision.

Requirements

About you

  • You have 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality consumer products, ideally on mobile.
  • You\’ve built community, social, or engagement-driven features — or you\’ve always wanted to.
  • You\’re comfortable moving fast — scoping lean experiments, iterating, and scaling.
  • You balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail. You can take a community from 0 to 1 — and from 1 to 100.
  • You love talking to users. Running 5+ user interviews a week sounds like a good time, not a chore.
  • You live in the data. You\’re comfortable designing experiments and interpreting engagement metrics.
  • You have the leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams and the humility to collaborate openly.
  • You care about the mission. You don\’t have to be a runner (yet), but you care about building products that help people improve their lives.

Bonus points if:

  • You\’ve worked on social or community-led products.
  • You have experience with react-native teams.
  • You\’re passionate about health, fitness, or sport.

Benefits

  • Salary of £74,000 — £90,000 (depending on experience), plus equity in Runna stock options.
  • Flexible working (typically 2-3 days in our Vauxhall office).
  • Salary reviews every 6 months or upon raising more investment.
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Workplace pension scheme.
  • Equipment including a Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else needed to do your best work.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave for new family members, fertility support & other benefits).
  • An hour each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout.

Additional Details

  • Seniority level: Mid-Senior level.
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Job function: Product Management and Marketing.
  • Industries: Non-profit Organizations and Primary and Secondary Education.
