We help everyday runners become outstanding by building an incredible app providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you’re improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. The team you’ll join: we are looking for a talented, creative, and positive team player to join our highly skilled data analytics team and play a key role in shaping and evolving our data reporting and analytics capabilities. The data analytics team is responsible for exploratory analysis and documentation of our data, designing reusable data models to make data more consumable for a wider audience, collaborating with key stakeholders to understand the business questions they’re trying to answer, and building dashboards/reports to visualise and present our data to a wider audience. You’ll work closely with the data engineering team to ingest and model data along with a variety of other stakeholders around the business to understand their specific reporting/data needs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Explore and understand our data ecosystem and document observed behaviours.
- Build high quality data models serving as the foundation for the team to use and build out more complex models or drive reporting.
- Deliver business insights to key stakeholders to help them make better informed decisions on the direction of the product and business.
- Design and deliver engaging dashboards which intuitively deliver key insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders around the business to understand the business questions they are trying to answer and convert those questions into technical solutions.
Your Key Experience:
- 3+ years in a Data Analytics, or Data Analytics Engineer role.
- 3+ years working with BI reporting tools and SQL.
- Experience designing and building data models.
- Experience working and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
Your Key Skills:
- Advanced SQL: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries to extract and model data from a variety of data sources; queries should be easy to read, efficient, and scalable.
- Data Wrangling: Ability to understand and clean messy data, making data more robust and easier to use.
- Data Modelling: Craft high quality reusable data models according to industry best practice.
- Data Warehouse Tools: Experience with data warehouses (ideally Snowflake) and data at scale.
- Python: Ability to write clean, performant, and well-documented Python code for data cleansing, transformation, and analysis.
- BI Dashboards: Expertise in BI/dashboarding tools to build compelling automated dashboards for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Source Control: Experience with source control (ideally GitHub).
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications for dashboards/reports.
- Business Acumen: Foundational understanding of how businesses operate and how to solve stakeholders' problems.
- Statistics: Understanding of fundamentals of statistics and ability to describe correlations in data.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or Data Science.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Continuous Integration/Delivery: Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Fitness: Experience with fitness data (e.g., heart rate data or FIT files) or a general interest in fitness.
- Marketing Data: Experience with marketing data (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook/Meta, AppsFlyer) is useful.
Salary And Benefits:
