We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners. We help everyday runners become outstanding by building an incredible app providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. Our ambition is huge: to become the go-to global leading training platform for millions of runners everywhere. We’re growing with purpose and looking for people who want to build something meaningful with lasting impact.
This is a paid-media role: you'll be making video ads for Meta, TikTok and Google - not organic or brand content. You'll own end-to-end production of our paid video ads, shaping what great in-house ad film looks like as Runna scales away from agency reliance. Performance Marketing drives a large portion of Runna's subscribers, so the volume, quality and speed of the ads you produce has a direct line to growth and a real visible impact on the business. This role is based in our London office, working 3 days per week on-site.
The Team You'll Join: You'll join a team of five creatives split across video and static ad production and report to the Creative Team Lead. The team owns creative production for Runna’s paid ads function end-to-end. You’ll work closely with Performance Marketing to keep up to date with what ads are winning on Meta and TikTok.
What You’ll Do:
- Own end-to-end production of performance video ads, from concept and storyboarding through shooting and editing.
- Partner closely with our reps at Meta, TikTok and YouTube to build ads in line with best-practice.
- Turn performance insight into new ad concepts and fast iterations, not one-off brand films.
- Own ad learnings in the video function to build best practice and learnings playbooks.
- Edit raw, creator-sourced UGC footage into a high volume of distinct, testable ad variants.
- Plan and run ad shoots independently, directing talent and creators from storyboard to delivery.
- Hold the quality bar for paid ad film, catching brand and craft issues in your own and others' work before launch.
- Act as a hands-on creative mentor to other members of the creative team.
- Bring ad concepts and storyboards upstream rather than only executing against briefs.
- The opportunity to travel in the UK and beyond for shoot when required.
What You’ll Bring To The Team: We're looking for someone genuinely enthusiastic about video production - someone who's proactive by instinct, not just when asked. We do need demonstrable experience producing video content in a high-volume, high-speed environment - performance marketing experience is a bonus, but not a requirement. As part of the application process, we'll expect you to send us a portfolio of video work, ideally spanning UGC-style creative, higher-production video, and motion/animation that reflects the type of content you'll be producing in this role.
More about you:
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Substantial experience across the full video ad production process, from storyboarding to shooting and editing, ideally for paid channels.
- A track record of editing UGC and raw footage into high-performing long- and short-form paid ads independently, at volume, and across genuinely different creative styles.
- Strong, opinionated creative judgement, with a habit of holding the quality bar and QAing output without being asked.
- Confidence planning, storyboarding and executing ad shoots independently.
- Experience with project management tools such as Monday or Asana.
- Motion design skills (end cards, titles) are a plus.
- An instinct for what's performing in paid social, and the ability to iterate without waiting for a brief.
- An interest in AI tooling to maximise proficiency is a bonus.
Benefits: We’re offering a salary of £48,500 - £51,500, plus participation in Strava's long-term incentive (stock) programs. Here is a brief overview of what we currently offer in the UK:
- Flexible working – we typically spend 3 days a week together in the office.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
- Free Runna & Strava subscriptions for you and 3 of your friends.
- Headspace membership.
- Money every year to spend on gear, events and the gym!
- Health insurance (including Dental and Vision) and workplace 401K scheme.
- Modern Health is a mental wellness platform and app that combines technology with professional support to improve mental well-being and reduce stress.
- Carrot fertility support - this benefits provider can provide inclusive fertility, hormonal health, and family-forming benefits to our global employee population.
Our Interview process: Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:
- Introductory chat with Josh (Talent Partner) (20-minute video call).
- Second round interview with Sabrina, (Team Lead, Creative) and Laura (Snr Manager, Performance Marketing) (60 minutes video call).
- Final round with Sabrina and a few other members of the team.
