Legacy banking and payment infrastructure struggles to support the demands of today's low-volume, high-velocity payouts, leading to inefficiencies in global payouts. Runa transforms this landscape by providing a new digital payments infrastructure that empowers businesses to send digital money instantly and cost-free to anyone, anywhere.
The Runa API empowers thousands of businesses to make payments to 5 billion+ consumers in 190+ countries instantly to cards, wallets, bank accounts, and gift cards. Leading companies such as Sodexo, TopCashback, Perkbox, Sweatcoin, Coinbase, and Globetopper rely on Runa to facilitate instant, flexible global payouts to tens of millions of consumers.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for producing clean, scalable, and reusable code. You’ll help deliver products which will have a big impact on our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to architecture and take ownership and accountability of parts of the product.
Our Tech: We have Python and TypeScript services running across Kubernetes (EKS) and Lambda functions. Our persistence is largely Aurora (Postgres) but new services will also be leveraging DynamoDB and their event triggers. However, we understand the dynamic nature of technology and recognise that skills in any programming language is a valuable asset, which is why we are open to engineers from any programming background.

- 3+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role in a product company.
- Familiarity with any server side programming language like Python, Java, C#, Ruby, GoLang, JavaScript with the motivation to work with Python/Javascript moving forward.
- A passion for software engineering best practice, and delivering well tested, high performant and quality code.
- Software Engineers that are keen to master their craft and take the opportunity to grow, develop and learn as part of a high performing software engineering team.
- A genuine interest in keeping up to date with the latest trends, technologies and tools in the software engineering space.
