Our client is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and evolve mission-critical hybrid cloud platforms operating in high-availability, compliance-led environments. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will act as a Level 2/3 escalation point, keep always-on systems running smoothly, and drive improvements across automation, resilience and cloud infrastructure.

What you will be doing:

  • Operating hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and on-prem
  • Handling complex infrastructure and platform incidents
  • Improving reliability through monitoring, automation and IaC
  • Working across networking, security, Windows and Linux
  • Supporting DR, patching and platform modernisation

What our client is looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in cloud or hybrid infrastructure roles
  • Strong AWS skills, with working knowledge of Azure
  • Solid Windows Server experience and Linux familiarity
  • Terraform (or similar) and PowerShell experience
  • Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing)
  • Comfortable working in high-availability, SLA-driven environments
  • Nice to have: Docker / Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling
