Overview of role:
Design, deploy, and operate a high-scale Microsoft 365 discovery and rationalisation platform using SpaceObServer to inventory, analyse, and support the removal of redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data across a large SharePoint Online estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a tenant-wide Microsoft Entra ID application registration pool (510 applications) to support parallelised Microsoft Graph API data collection and mitigate throttling.
- Deploy and configure Azure VM and SQL Server infrastructure in accordance with approved technical architecture standards.
- Connect and configure SpaceObServer within the Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Execute and optimise baseline metadata discovery scans across a SharePoint estate containing 75M+ files, using shallow-scan methodologies to maximise ingestion performance.
- Provide secure access to the SpaceObServer Web UI for Records Management teams and support data analysis activities.
- Enable and support metadata-driven identification of duplicate content, abandoned legacy sites, and ROT data.
- Facilitate and validate bulk deletion and remediation activities through ongoing differential scanning and indexing.
- Maintain platform performance and availability to support continuous user access and near real-time metadata synchronisation.
- Produce operational documentation, including runbooks, credential management procedures, QA evidence, and technical handover materials.
