Our client is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and evolve mission-critical hybrid cloud platforms operating in high-availability, compliance-led environments. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will act as a Level 2/3 escalation point, keep always-on systems running smoothly, and drive improvements across automation, resilience and cloud infrastructure.
What you will be doing:
- Operating hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and on-prem
- Handling complex infrastructure and platform incidents
- Improving reliability through monitoring, automation and IaC
- Working across networking, security, Windows and Linux
- Supporting DR, patching and platform modernisation
What our client is looking for:
- 5+ years experience in cloud or hybrid infrastructure roles
- Strong AWS skills, with working knowledge of Azure
- Solid Windows Server experience and Linux familiarity
- Terraform (or similar) and PowerShell experience
- Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing)
- Comfortable working in high-availability, SLA-driven environments
Nice to have:
- Docker / Kubernetes
- CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus or Grafana
