Salary: £90-120K work model: Hybrid Were looking for a Python Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of high-performance financial systems.

Youll lead a team of engineers building scalable platforms that power real-time transactions, risk analytics, and next-generation digital financial products.

This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience Python Expertise 7+ years building production systems with Python.

Microservices Strong experience designing and scaling distributed microservice architectures.

Cloud Platforms Deep knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure services.

Databases Proficiency with Postgre SQL, Redis, Mongo DB, or similar.

Messaging Systems Experience with Kafka, Rabbit MQ, or event-streaming platforms.

CI/CD Strong understanding of automated testing, deployment pipelines, and observability.

Leadership Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver complex projects.

Fin Tech Domain Knowledge Experience in payments, trading, banking, or financial data systems is a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Own the technical roadmap, guide architectural decisions, and ensure engineering excellence across backend services.

Python Engineering Design and build robust, secure, and scalable microservices using Python (Fast API, Django, Flask).

System Architecture Lead the design of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-availability platforms.
