We're recruiting on behalf of an exceptional civil engineering contractor for a Sub Agent to join a high-profile new highways scheme in Didcot, circa £15m to unlock a major plot of land for future development. This business is renowned for delivering complex infrastructure, with a reputation for innovation, timely delivery, and self-delivery capability using the latest engineering technologies.

As Sub Agent, you'll work closely with the Project Manager and Agent to drive day-to-day delivery on site, ensuring works are completed to programme, specification, and quality standards. You'll also support the engineering team with technical input, contribute to value engineering solutions, and help resolve site challenges effectively. The main scope of this project will include bulk earthworks, full depth road construction, SUDs, deep drainage, culverts and section 278 works.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Agent to drive day-to-day delivery on site, ensuring works are completed to programme, specification, and quality standards.
  • Support the engineering team with technical input, contribute to value engineering solutions, and help resolve site challenges effectively.
  • Understand and help manage the main scope of the project, including bulk earthworks, full depth road construction, SUDs, deep drainage, culverts and section 278 works.
