We’re recruiting with a main contractor for a major roads and structures project in Oxfordshire (not HS2 related). The project is getting underway next month and will run for 3 years with other projects already in the pipeline. The main scope of work comprises a new bypass through greenfield sites and a 500m viaduct spanning the Thames and a rail line - the structure will feature 14 spans. The role of the Agent will be to work on the structures package of the project, engaging and managing different subcontractors and the complexities of working across the river and rail line, with challenging ground conditions and space. It is essential you have experience of managing the construction of new structures – maintenance of structures will not be considered.
Site Agent Duties:
- Day to day management of a section of works, supporting the site team and subcontractors
- Planning closures in advance and ensuring the correct permits are in place working with Network Rail and Environment Agency
- Assist the PM to ensure project is meeting overall quality and environmental specifications
- Attending weekly programme meetings and implementing any change to the project
- Ensuring all RAMS are being adhered to, daily briefings and inductions are being carried out and permits are in place
- Attend stakeholder engagement meetings and liaise with the client for progress and change
