We are looking for a General Foreman to join a major roads and structures project in Kent this Summer. The project will run for 2 years with the possibility of further phases. The scope of work includes a new 500m carriageway with a 250 metre viaduct spanning a river, floodplain and railway line featuring five spans. You will be working on the structures package, supporting the management of subcontractors and navigating the complexities of working across a river and rail line with challenging ground conditions. Experience managing the construction of new roads and structures is essential; maintenance experience alone will not be considered.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Managing your section of works and supporting the site team and subcontractors
- Ensuring all RAMS are being adhered to, daily briefings and inductions are carried out and permits are in place
- Attending weekly programme meetings and feeding back any changes to the team
- Supporting the Agent and PM to ensure the project is meeting overall quality and environmental specifications
