Our client is a civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering infrastructure renewals and upgrades, both reactive and planned on the AMP8 Framework. With a strong forward order book of £135m over the AMP8 Framework for this client, they are now growing their team and have an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of NEC contracts, specifically NEC4 Option A. This is a great opportunity for a QS looking for long term work locally within the water sector.
Responsibilities:
- Administering the contract and managing any change, duties include:
- Cost planning & change control
- Subcontractor payments
- Remeasurements
- Valuations
- CVR’s
- Monthly commercial reporting
- Cash flow & progress reporting
- Final accounting and audits
Skills & qualifications:
- BEng/HNC in Quantity Surveying or by experience
- Good working knowledge and understanding of NEC4 Option A
- Full Driving Licence
- Experience of working on utilities contracts preferred but not essential
