Our client is a successful and well-respected civil engineering contractor, currently delivering a number of exciting, large infrastructure projects and with ambitious growth plans in place. They are seeking a Contracts Administrator to work on a major infrastructure project near Portsmouth. The Contracts Administrator will assist the Contract Manager with the contract administration on this project, covering a broad spectrum of contract-related matters including programme, change and risk management, dispute avoidance and procurement.
Applicants may already be working in a similar role or perhaps be a Graduate in Quantity Surveying, Law or Business Studies.
The Contracts Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with legal agreements relating to Licenses & Consents, Surety’s and Bonds
- Insurances & Warranties
- Proposed agreements and documents to ensure they reflect agreements reached
- Management of the change process (Compensation Events) ensuring deadlines are met
- Drafting correspondence
- Management of contractual matters with supply chain partners as and when required
- Liaison with clients’ and statutory providers’ legal representatives and engaging with our own legal counsel when necessary
- Review the contract and draft advice notes setting out the contract requirements and make proposals for responses and compliance
Responsible for:
- Arranging and attending meetings and negotiations, taking notes, issuing minutes and actions
- Administration of the contract communications system
- Producing reports and supporting information as directed
Qualifications/Skills:
- Similar experience or Degree/HND qualification
- Full driving licence
- GCSE Maths & English
- Strong IT skills; Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook
