Our client is a successful and well-respected civil engineering contractor, currently delivering a number of large, exciting infrastructure projects and with ambitious growth plans in place. They are seeking a BIM Manager to work on a large infrastructure scheme near Portsmouth, to manage BIM, Document Control & Information Security.

The BIM Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement and oversee BIM process throughout the project lifecycle; design, construction and handover
  • Provide support to and manage BIM, Document Control & Information Security
  • Ensure that all information security requirements are met (ie. Security checking of personnel)
  • Manage ISO 19650 conformance and information security standards
  • Manage and support the Document Control team
  • Maintain and manage the Information Execution Plan (IEP)
  • Manage the MIDP, ensuring all project requirements are met
  • Promote, develop and ensure a consistent approach to modelling throughout the project
  • Manage model federation
  • Run clash detection and coordination processes
  • Carry out regular model health checks, reviews, and performance reporting
  • Identify and implement developments/improvements within the existing software
  • Work closely with both the design and delivery teams to promote best practice
  • Attend and support project performance reviews
  • Support senior project meetings with digital insight and reporting
  • Champion information security, data classification, and personnel clearance

Background & Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in the role of BIM Coordinator, Revit Manager, Digital Design Lead, or similar
  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction, or Civil Engineering
  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 (1-5)
  • Experience supporting large, complex construction projects would be advantageous
