Our client is a regional civil engineering contractor, with a reputation of delivering high-profile and exciting regional projects. They are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of NEC suite of contracts, to lead a commercial team delivering civil engineering contracts predominantly within the highways sector. This is the perfect role for someone keen to work autonomously, where there is genuine opportunity to lead, shape and influence any commercial change and development processes within the business.

The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercials on all projects under their control, working closely with the delivery teams throughout the region and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead develop an established commercial team of 5-7 QSs of varying levels
  • Coach and develop your team to grow their skills and career prospects
  • Take full commercial control across your projects; NEC contract management, forecasting, reporting, and proactive risk and opportunity management
  • Develop commercial solutions, ensuring any issues are noticed early
  • Develop, grow and maintain client relationships
  • Report to and work closely with the Commercial Manager

Qualifications:

  • HND/BSc Quantity Surveying
  • CSCS
