We’re recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to be a part of the team on one of the UK’s most exciting highways projects. The M3 Junction 9 scheme on behalf of National Highways is a major redevelopment of a busy junction prone to traffic build up. The project began in the Spring of 2025 and will be in construction until mid 2028. The main scope of works includes multiple new bridges over the M3, a new gyratory, slips and multi-layered structures carrying traffic in different directions as well as upgrading cycling and pedestrian networks around the area.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of the safety processes. Highways or heavy civils experience is essential.
Health and Safety Advisor Duties:- Provide proactive Health & Safety support to project teams delivering works on the National Highways network
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, National Highways standards, DMRB and company H&S procedures
- Review and support the implementation of RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and Temporary Traffic Management arrangements
- Undertake regular site inspections, audits and safety tours on live carriageways and high-risk activities
- Support incident, near miss and close-call investigations, ensuring learning is captured and shared
- Promote a strong “Home Safe Every Day” culture through briefings, toolbox talks and engagement with the supply chain
