We are recruiting an Environmental Advisor for Havant Thicket Reservoir. The project will run for a minimum of 3 more years with plenty of other exciting projects in the local area, such as sea walls, beach restoration, naval base improvements and water infrastructure projects. The business has an esteemed history in water infrastructure and marine projects across the UK & Europe. This project is a first of its kind in the last 30 years, constructing a new reservoir to protect some of the rarest chalk streams in the country and provide a futureproof source of water to the region. The project is being delivered by a Joint Venture and will comprise extensive earthworks, ecological work, reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, buildings and MEICA works.

You’ll join the Health, Safety and Environment team, working closely with the construction project delivery team to support, advise, and implement environmental processes, procedures, and improvement initiatives across site.

Environmental Advisor duties include:

  • Support site teams by providing guidance, training, and audits to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, ISO standards (14001, 50001), and permits.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, monitor energy use, and help reduce carbon footprint through improved data capture and performance analysis.
  • Lead initiatives to prevent water pollution, manage silt, monitor noise and dust levels, and protect on-site ecology.
  • Liaise with regulators, environmental specialists, and clients to maintain high environmental standards and contribute to project success.
  • Produce detailed environmental reports, investigate incidents, maintain the environmental database, and support bids and award submissions.
