We’re recruiting a Site Agent for a main contractor on the outskirts of Brighton to lead a highways improvement scheme.

The contractor have live projects across the South and South East working with local authorities, National Highways, Network Rail and the Environment Agency with individual projects upwards of £200m – therefore, main contractor experience is favourable.

The role will initially be hybrid, working between head office, the client’s office and site to get the project to ground.

This will include being the main point of contact for the client, coordinating design, technical aspects and onboarding the subcontractors ahead of work starting this autumn.

It is essential you have an engineering background and proven experience of working on projects prior to their delivery.

Site Agent Duties

  • Day to day management of a section of works, supporting the site team and subcontractors
  • Support with procurement of subcontractors and wider supply chain
  • Planning closures in advance and ensuring the correct permits are in place
  • Attending weekly programme meetings and implementing any change to the project
  • Ensuring all RAMS are being adhered to, daily briefings and inductions are being carried out and permits are in place.
  • Attend stakeholder engagement meetings and liaise with the client for progress and change.

The package reflects the role, car allowance/car, bonus scheme, pension contributions and 26 days holiday (option sell/purchase).
