The Governors of Rumney Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and flexible Senior Teaching Assistant as soon as possible. The successful candidate will need to:
- contribute significantly to the ethos and values of our school;
- have high expectations of themselves and pupils’ achievements;
- be highly flexible and prepared to work across the whole school with all age groups;
- be able to work closely with classroom teachers to inspire and challenge children through an innovative and creative approach to learning in the classroom and outdoor learning environment;
- be able to work closely with the ALNCo to support the needs of individual pupils;
- be prepared to cover classes for short periods of time;
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture relationships with staff, pupils and parents;
- be adaptable, resourceful and innovative;
- have excellent communication and IT skills.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. This vacancy is suitable for post share. This appointment will be subject to suitably qualified individuals. Individuals should ensure that they meet all of the essential requirements detailed in the person specification and note the desirable attributes applicable to the post for which they are applying.
