Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead safety engineering efforts by offering recommendations based on analysis to enhance safety performance and the effectiveness of departmental deliverables.
- Drive the Reactor Plant construction and commissioning programme through innovative engineering solutions and effective problem-solving.
- Ensure the Reactor Plant’s design intent is upheld throughout the build and commissioning phases.
- Provide advice and undertake Intelligent Customer responsibilities related to documentation, guidance, and services delivered to the business.
- Assist in evaluating plant design modifications.
- Evaluate the plant's build progress to determine readiness for transitioning into future build phases.
- Offer technical challenges to current requirements to ensure thorough evaluation.
- Prepare and deliver reports to communicate nuclear safety issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Degree in an Engineering or Physical Science field, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Understanding of the nuclear industry and familiarity with Nuclear Regulations.
- Experience with the Engineering Lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to justify design changes, preferably within a Nuclear plant setting.
- Prior experience working on a Nuclear plant.
This role does require the candidate to be able to obtain Security clearance.
