The Role:
Responsible for the delivery of client Projects from a commercial and contractual perspective. Liaising with customers and suppliers. Support with development of bids, providing input into pricing and commercial build-ups as required. Manage, monitor and record the Financial and Commercial performance. Provide cost control via the review and authorisation of Purchase Orders.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Measurement of works in conjunction with Project Manager and agreements with client and subcontractors.
* Developing, incorporating, monitoring and reporting expenditure against that planned and budgeted for, including variance reporting.
* Preparation and submission of payment applications to client in a timely manner in conjunction with the designated Project Manager.
* Liaise with relevant personnel on collation of cost information to enable input to planning for production and regular updating of the contract programme.
* Plan, control and direct relevant personnel with regard to cost requirements.
* Shall be the focal point for collation of all project associated costs.
* Liaise with finance to ensure that all costs are captured and are correctly booked to relevant projects.
* Liaise with purchasing to ensure that all costs are captured and are correctly booked to relevant projects.
* Liaise closely with the Project Manager and to provide support and assistance as required.
* Contribute to the preparation by others to estimates and programme.
* Monitor cost performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Prepare and issue regular cost reports to project management.
* Maintain payment application, costs files and records.
* Assist with procurement of plant packages, if so required.
* Upon project completion, effect close-out in accordance with procedures and project managers requirements.
* Monitor and control engineering man-hour spend within or below allocated budget and advise management team as to status of spends.
* Liaise with suppliers and customers.
* To provide assistance in the compilation of responses to customers ITT\’s.
* Ensuring performance in accordance with the requirements of the company policy and management systems.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Bachelor\’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical/scientific subject – Preferred (Please note experience would also be considered over a degree)
* Scheduling experience i.e P6, Microsoft projects etc
* Strong NEC Commercial Contract Experience
* APM Introductory Certificate to Project Management – Desirable
