Rullion have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Team Member with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join a rolling stock maintenance/service team with our client on the infamous Caledonian Sleeper Fleet.
Location:
Polmadie Train Care Centre – Glasgow
Duration and Shift Pattern:
long term contract, working permanent days (earlies and lates shift pattern).
Average of 37 hours per week with overtime as of when required.
Rates:
Pre 12 weeks: PAYE: £22.67 per hour / Umbrella: £28.91 per hour
Post 12 weeks: PAYE: £25.73 per hour / Umbrella: £34.63 per hour
Role is inside of IR35 and Limited Companies do not apply.
PPE is provided by Rullion and Tooling is provided by the client.
Description:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a senior team member, servicing, maintaining and repairing rolling stock. Within the team you will ensure that traction and rolling stock are serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.
Key skills and requirements for the role include;
* Time served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or an SVQ/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Maintenance or Engineering. (Electrical Installation or Building Structures do not qualify)
* In-depth fault-finding experience.
* Basic MS Office IT skills.
* Prepared to work shifts including days, nights and weekends as of when required.
Experience required:
Rolling Stock/Locomotive experience is preferred, however a background in either Aerospace, Ex-Forces Engineering or within Large Transportation will also be considered.
Our client operates a strict zero-tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Be aware that you will be required to take a Drug and Alcohol test either at interview or on your first day.
