Job Details:
- Job Type: Permanent
- Start date: As soon as possible, subject to clearance
- Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum + Benefits (Bonus, Pension, Holidays, etc.)

- Work Schedule: 5 days per week onsite preferred
- Hours: 37 hours per week
Role & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and responsibility for the execution of all assigned work.
- Deliver fit-for-purpose, practical engineering designs in line with specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Support and promote company and client site directives, including HSEQ, best practices, innovations, and continual improvement.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competence to support the role and align with client and industry requirements.
- Produce and update detailed EC&I design documentation, including loop diagrams, control panel schematics, field connection diagrams, I/O schedules, control and failsafe circuits, LV power distribution & protection, single line diagrams, control panel GAs and layouts, instrument air distribution, and functional testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with national and site standards.
- Carry out site surveys.
- Compile document work packs.
- Follow company and site procedures related to engineering design, project control, documentation, procurement, and verification.
- Support activities such as estimating, commissioning, hand-over, and procurement.
- Contribute to team efforts for continual improvement.
- Work independently, using initiative.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree, ONC, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent HSE qualification.
- CompEx certification (ExF, ExF+, Ex01-04, Ex05-06, Ex12).
- Functional Safety (IEC61508) - TUV or equivalent.
- Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an EC&I Design Engineer.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in a COMAH Tier 1 Process Manufacturing Environment.
Additional Requirements:
- All candidates must be able to obtain UK National Security Vetting Status - SC Clearance.
