Rullion have an opportunity for a Logistics Stores Operator to work with a high profile rolling stock company in Glasgow on a long term contract. FLT Counterbalance & Reach along with SAP or other stores software management experience required. Location: Polmadie Train Care Centre – Glasgow. Duration: One year and will be extended up clients requirements. Hours: Average of 37 hours per week. Shift Pattern: In-between 07:00 hours upto 20:00 hours – Monday to Friday. Rates: First 12 weeks – £22.67 per hour (PAYE) or £28.91 per hour (Umbrella) Post 12 weeks – £25.73 per hour (PAYE) or £34.63 per hour (Umbrella) PPE to be provided by Rullion. This role is subject to strict Drugs & Alcohol policies and will be subject to D&A prior to assignment. Role Work as part of the UK Logistics organisation. Safely Providing professional materials operational support. Key duties are to Receive, Control and Deliver material to Customers to meet requisite time scales. Carry out general stores duties governed by the priorities and timescales of work requirements and daily workloads, using processes and procedures to ensure a world class service to Internal and External customers. Utilise initiative and wider experience to determine process improvements in cost and service. General Duties Undertake a daily line of route to ensure the store is safe to operate within. Comply with Health and Safety procedures, identify and resolve potential hazards and risks. Understand and abide by safety notices, rules & regulations and follow safe working practices, H&SAWA and COSHH Comply with all Supply Chain Procedures FLT Driving – Operational support. Operation and maintenance of stock within the Lean Lifts, to include goods issue, goods receipt, stock return, bin location and the care of the shelf location system Complete 5s housekeeping duties. Keeping work areas clean and tidy at all times. Safety Critical Stock Levels, Unsatisfied Demands, quality and cost issues. Maintenance of Kanban bins for lineside provision of material to Production. Support daily conference calls (Where required) To ensure control of calibration equipment through the stores in accordance with the procedures – notably dispatch, delivery, update records and files. Utilise Microsoft Office software packages for general administrative activities including email, spreadsheets, presentations and document writing. Goods In Off loading material at the point of delivery using the correct manual handling techniques. Checking quality and quantity of material delivered against documentation. Log and process delivery issues through the NCR process. Receiving material into the Management Systems. Process serialised material accurately into stock. Ensure all locations are identified and the part is identified within the location Ensure all parts to be located are secured to prevent injury Ensure all items in excess of 20kg\’s have weight labels attached. Auditing and Stock Management Conduct planned PI audits and un-planned adhoc audits Maintain accurate Management System with stock accuracy data including quantities and locations. Audit material at line side locations for replenishment. Transact material between S/Locs and sites within the Managements Systems. Conduct safety audits within the Stores area of racking, shelving and equipment, identify issues. Ensure all parts are stored in accordance with clients Quality Procedures Reconcile Repairable stock by ensuring that a broken part is received for every good part issued. Ensuring the returns area is kept organised and clear at all times Management of Safety Critical Parts Ensure parts are held in stock at various locations to correct mod level Dispatch Produce transport documentation. Book transport requirements with external couriers. Label and check the packaging quality of outbound deliveries. Load outbound material onto vehicles using the correct manual handling techniques. Ensuring all goods being despatched are secure and packaged well Chase Proof of Delivery from Transport provider (Where Required) Delivery of materials to point of use as required. The transfer of materials between sites & the booking of the courier using the approved supplier. Including the booking of transfers for other sites when they are not manned, following the standard process. Advising the destination Stores Team when transfers are arranged. Support the Banksing of Vehicles to enable safe movement on site Material Returns Produce accurate material returns documentation for parts being returned to the suppliers. Pick, pack and label material to be returned to the suppliers using the correct manual handling techniques.
