Electrical Technician – Rolling Stock (WIFI Upgrades and Electrical Duties) Contract Duration: 6 month contract, possibility for extension. Inside IR35 Shift Pattern: Days – 5 on / 5 off Location: Southampton SO14 Pay Rate: £25.51 per hour (Umbrella), increasing after 12 weeks to £26.89 per hour (Umbrella) Reporting to the Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to undertake train maintenance of the depot Rolling Stock and conduct associated activities that support the operation of the fleet and depot in a safe way adhering to health and safety requirements. Principal Accountabilities Working as part of the Engineering team, this challenging role involves mechanical and electrical duties to undertake upgrading of the WIFI of the depot's rolling stock assets. Supporting with the completion of repairs and upgrades (WIFI) Carry out post upgrade testing and advanced fault finding and diagnostic activities Undertake any other duties as and when required within the scope of the modification work Carry out installation fault finding to an intermediate level T3 Read and interpret electrical drawings, and software logic diagrams.
