The predicted salary is between 25286 - 25647 £ per year.

Salary: Starting at NJC Scale 3, point 5. Actual salary: £25,286 per annum (£29,436 FTE). Rising to NJC Scale 3, point 6. Actual salary: £25,647 per annum (£29,856 FTE) inclusive of Outer London Weighting.

Hours: 8:00am-3:45pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm, Friday (36 hours per week), term-time only plus INSET days.

Contract: Permanent. The school is happy to consider part-time applications and/or flexible hours. Required as soon as possible.

Ruislip High School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to join our flourishing science department. The successful applicant will be part of a team of technicians who service the science, art, craft and design and also food and nutrition departments. The flexibility to cover the other faculties if required would be desirable.

The duties of the role include:

  • The preparation of materials, equipment and chemicals for lessons.
  • Caring for plants and animals.
  • Ensuring the clearing and cleaning of laboratories, as well as art, craft and design and food and nutrition rooms as appropriate.
  • Advising on the stock of materials and undertaking inventory checks.
  • Working alongside teachers to aid student progress.

This is a varied role and full training will be provided. The role would suit someone looking to work part-time or return to the workforce. The successful applicant will need:
