Job Summary: Ruggable is looking for a strategic, data-savvy Digital Site Merchandiser to manage the onsite merchandising experience across our European eCommerce storefronts (UK, Germany, France, and other EU markets). In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving conversion, optimizing category performance, and creating compelling product storytelling through curated collections, site placement, and content alignment. You’ll work closely with Tech, Marketing, Creative, and Merchandising teams to create a best-in-class, seamless shopping experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Site Merchandising & Optimization: Own and execute site merchandising strategy across homepage, category pages, product grids, and landing pages. Use performance data and customer insights to optimize product placement, category hierarchy, filters, and sort order. Adapt merchandising strategies to regional preferences, ensuring that "Bestsellers" and curated lists reflect the specific design trends and buying behaviors of UK vs. Continental European customers. Work closely with Site Operations to ensure accurate attribution, taxonomy alignment, and product setup to support merchandising strategies. Plan and implement seasonal refreshes, promotional strategies, and curated product collections.
  • Localization Management: Oversee the content localization workflow, ensuring product names, descriptions, and creative copy are culturally relevant and accurately translated (German, French) via agencies or tools. Conduct regular site audits across all regional domains to ensure currency, pricing, sizing (metric vs. imperial), and translations are displaying correctly.
  • Campaign & Content Execution: Partner with Marketing and Creative to ensure campaign content, product launches, and promotional messaging are accurately and compellingly represented on-site. Coordinate site updates to align with campaign calendars, key launches, and merchandising priorities. Execute region-specific commercial moments, ensuring the site is ready for local peaks and seasonality. Work closely with SEO agency and US-based content lead to action on-site content optimization for search.
  • Category Strategy & Insights: Analyze and report on category, product-level and user performance to guide future merchandising decisions. Recommend assortment or visual updates based on trends, and customer behaviour.
  • Conversion Optimization: Monitor daily site metrics (conversion rate, bounce rate, click-through rate, sell-through, etc.) to identify opportunities for improvement. Run A/B tests and partner with Tech teams to validate and implement site changes that improve customer engagement and sales performance.

What You’ll Need to Have:

  • Required: 5–7 years of experience in digital or eCommerce merchandising, ideally with a consumer product brand or multi-category retailer. Strong understanding of online customer behaviour, site UX principles, and eCommerce KPIs. Experience with merchandising tools such as Shopify, Contentful, Constructor, or equivalent CMS/PIM systems. Comfortable working within data platforms like Heap, Looker, Google Analytics in order to analyze and act on data. Strong eye for visual storytelling and product presentation, with attention to detail in execution. Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills — able to drive timelines and coordinate cross-functionally. Ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing short-term priorities with long-term merchandising goals.
  • Preferred: Background in home, lifestyle, or fashion brands. Experience managing site merchandising for multi-country or multi-language storefronts. Fluency in German or French is a strong plus. Working knowledge of SEO strategy. Familiarity with A/B testing tools (Optimizely, Ninetailed).
